The King of Pop or King Tut?

It feels like a clearing house of sorts for celebrities lately. Icons of world culture have succombed to the inevitable bell which tolls for all of us mere mortals. David Caradine, Farrah Fawcett, the Oxy Clean guy, Ed Mchahon, Fred Travolina (a lesser known ventriloquist)and the biggest bombshell- Michael Jackson.
I was imagining what the archaeologists of the future will ask upon discovering the remains of the King of Pop. Like what did this man's original face look like? He was a slight figure, was he important in some way? If so, why? What mark did this man leave on the world if any?

It's all so very strange. We seem to love getting caught up in the wispiness, the ethereal, the wonder of the talent, the image. But what's left when that all floats away and his vast and facinating posessions change hands and all of the gloves have been auctioned off to the highest bidder, finding a resting place for a time at some Planet Hollywood or Hardrock Cafe?

What's left King Tut? What's left King of Pop?

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." Jesus (Matthew24:35)
